12 January 2023 New Dementia Guide launched Dementia UK has launched the next burst of its I live with dementia awareness campaign, and is back with the message, that “if you love someone living with dementia, you're living with it too”. The campaign brings to life the message that when someone lives with dementia, it has an impact on everyone around them – not just the person with the diagnosis. But it also shows that, with the support of Dementia UK and Admiral Nurses, no one has to face dementia alone. I live with dementia highlights the vital support that Dementia UK offers families through its Admiral Nurses – on a free Helpline, in clinics, on our website and in the community. To bring this all together, Dementia UK has produced the Living with dementia guide which combines practical and emotional advice, life hacks, information and top tips from our specialist dementia nurses, people living with the diagnosis, and their families and friends. Dementia UK wants it to be a desirable piece of content that people will be happy to receive, in exchange for their email address. The eight week campaign will run across a range of advertising channels, all chosen because they enable Dementia UK to reach its target audience. Dementia UK's first ever TV advert will be shown to our audience watching smart TVs. They have also been placed on YouTube to ensure no one misses out. They can be watched can watch by clicking on the upcoming links featuring common scenarios families face every day: the grown-up son getting repeated phone calls from his mum; the sandwich-carer trying to explain Nana’s dementia to her own daughter; the exhausted wife who is caring for her husband Digital adverts will be shown across outdoor advertising spaces such as bus shelters in Bristol, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Belfast, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Brighton, Portsmouth, and South London Paid advertising will appear across Facebook as well as scheduled posts across all Dementia UK's social media channels Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, using #ILiveWithDementia, #Dementiaguide #Dementiatips News Share Tweet
